Marife Capumpue-Tiamzon is a true and proud daughter of Capas. Born and raised in the historic town. She came from a big family, she is the eight among twelve siblings. She is the daughter of Felicisimo Capumpue and Yolando Perez-Capumpue (now both deceased), both were also born and raised in Capas.
Marife married Renato Tiamzon on January 16,2000 who is also a native of Capas. Together, they have two boys, Christian Nicholas, 15, and John Harry, 13. The boys are both Junior High School students at the Ateneo de Manila University Junior High School. Both kids are doing well in and out of school, very well-mannered young gentlemen. A true reflection of their mother’s devotion.
Fe, as what everyone calls her, was a product of both public and private education. She spent her elementary education at Cutcut Elementary School in Capas. She went on to finish her secondary education at Dominican School, Capas. She got her degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Holy Angel University in 1993.
After finishing her college degree, she went to work as a Project Engineer at Archiline, Inc. in Mandaluyong City. After nine months, Marife was able to established her own construction company in 1994, Hi-Integra Builders, a specialty construction company. The company was able to provide employment to her townmates in Capas. As a matter of fact, all employees were from Capas. Many of her former employees were able to use their training and experience to get jobs overseas. When the company got bigger, it was renamed San Nicolas Construction, a homage to Capas’ patron saint, San Nicolas de Tolentino.In 2006 up to present, together with her husband Renato they venture into Build and Sell business. Aside from these, she is also one of the Director and Vice President of Capumpue Tiamzon Construction Inc., a general construction corporation. In 2016, another business was established in the sector of Modern Technology farming, RMCH POULTRY FARM under contract with San Miguel Foods Inc. and serve as a contract grower in Broiler Poultry farming.
On January 3, 2013, Together with her high school batchmates and her husband, the group formed Lingap 88 Foundation Inc., a non-profit organization which provides scholarships to deserving students in Capas. She serve as one of the Director and President of the foundation. A total of 33 scholars from elementary to secondary and a total of 11 scholars from our Indigenous or Aeta from Brgy Calangitan. The group continously active in organizing fund raising drive to sustain the funding of the foundation. In April 2013, a concert of Bamboo in Capas “Ticket Mo, Aral Ko”. In May 2014, a fund drive “Bingo Mo, Aral Ko “.
Marife and her husband are also sponsors/donors of Kanlungan Ni Maria in Antipolo, a non-profit Catholic organization that takes care and provide shelter to elderly. She also serves a the head charpter for Kanlungan Ni Maria in Greenwoods chapter in Cainta.
As a parent, Marife plays an active role as a Class Parent Representatives in Social and Community involvement of the school, Bigay Puso activities held in Payatas School in Quezon City, cancer patients of PGH in Manila and supporting the scholars of the school.
Fe was raised as a devout Catholic. Through the years, she and her husband together with her siblings, had helped parishes in building and remodellng churches and chapel. To name a few: the church of San Nicolas Parish in Capas, the chapel in Dona Lutgarda Subdivision in Capas, Prayer Garden in Sto. Domingo , Capas., the church and convent of San Andres Parish in Greenwoods, Cainta, the Chapel of St Andrew in Greenwoods, church of Our Lady of the Abandoned in Marikina. St Francis of Asissi in Campbridge, Cainta. Aside from their donations, they were the one who supervized and managed the construction of these churches and chapel . She and her husband serves as Finance Head from 2010 to 2014 at San Andres Parish. Until now she and her husband are active member of Finance Committee. A member of SANTISIMA “Samahan ng Tagapag-ingat ng mga Santong Imahen of San Andres Parish” who take good care of “Huling Hapunan”.
Giving back and sharing whatever you have are among values Fe lives by and teaching her two boys.
A mom, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt and a friend is what she considers her first priority. But she never fails to lend her hands to help others in any way possible whether through her businesses, through the Church, or through NGOs, she is always there ready to help.
