Mayor Roseller “Boots” Rodriguez, the Chairman of the Local DRRM Council
ATM: Called for a meeting to ensure the safety and well-being of all Capaseños in response to the potential threat of Tropical Depression Egay intensifying into a super typhoon and its projected landfall in Central Luzon. The briefing is spearheaded by Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Officer Mark Robert Mercado.
MDRRMO discusses the latest updates provided by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). It was reported that Tropical Depression Egay’s movement over the Philippine Sea had slowed down, but the weather bureau projects that it might reach super typhoon intensity by Tuesday (July 25) and potentially landfall in Central Luzon.
Mayor Rodriguez emphasizes the need for immediate preparedness measures. Evacuation plans, emergency response protocols, and communication strategies are being discussed to effectively respond to any potential impact on the municipality.
Attending the meeting are VM Alex Espinosa, Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Barangay Captains, MLGOO Tess Marquez, Department Heads concerned, partner government offices, utility providers, and non-government organizations (NGOs).
