MAYOR REYCAT CALLS THE ATTENTION OF THE STUDENT WHO FAKED CLASS SUSPENSION
CAPAS, TARLAC – “Ignorance of the law excuses no one. Any person, be it an adult or a minor, who have caused a public disturbance will be strictly dealt with the sanctions provided by the law or school policies,” said Mayor Reynaldo Catacutan.
Last week, many posts relating to the suspension of classes circulated but particularly one post stood out and affected the class schedule of several schools in the Western District of Capas.
It was the post of a student that contained an edited official memorandum and a false statement of class suspension.
Within hours, the post was traced along with another student’s malicious and offensive post with unauthorized usage of the local chief executive’s official photo.
Said students, together with their parents and teachers, were called in for the imposition of disciplinary action.
According to Mayor Catacutan, such acts are manifestations of unacceptable behavior from students of such a young age so it cannot be tolerated.
The students and their parents, in response, offered their apologies for the ruckus the posts have caused.
Meanwhile, the school heads assured that they will be dealing with the issue seriously.
