Cut-Cut II was created from the original area of Cut-Cut to attain local administrative efficiency. It is composed of three sitios and thrives in the growing of rice and sugarcane and the raising of livestock, poultry, and fish. It is a one-half kilometer away from the poblacion.

Barangay Cut-Cut II is home to the first settlers of Barangay Cut-Cut, the Aetas, who were forced to vacate the lands as the Spanish colonizers set foot in the province. It is also the site of Calangitan Sanitary Landfill which is being operated by Metro Clark Waste Management Corporation.

The majority of the land area of this barangay was owned by Dona Lutgarda Vasco. A subdivision was named after her, the Dona Lutgarda Subdivision. Sitio San Pablo of Cut- Cut II after Pablo Garcia, the first settler of the sitio.

Another popular place in this barangay is the Ligtasan Street. It is said that the name was given to the street because those who survived a battle during the American period reached the area and were saved.

Calangitan derived its name from the word “langit” for it is geographically situated in the high plateaus of Capas near its boundary to Bamban. It is also the location of Capas Sanitary Landfill where wastes from other municipalities in Tarlac, Pampanga, and Baguio are disposed of.wd
