ADVOCATES FOR HERITAGE PRESERVATION (AHP) VISITS CAPAS NATIONAL SHRINE

The ADVOCATES for HERITAGE PRESERVATION (AHP) visited the Capas National Shrine as part of their Tarlac Tour on August 26, 2023.
Engr. Darwin Campo, the Capas National Shrine Curator, treated the group to an insightful history briefing that unveiled the stories and struggles of the soldiers during the Death March of 1942.
The AHP as a show of their commitment to both heritage and nature, planted ylang-ylang seedlings through a tree planting activity. Each tree planted in the shrine represents a fallen soldier.
As a sincere gesture, the Advocates for Heritage Preservation handed over plant bags to the Capas National Shrine. This donation is a testament to their devotion to preserving the beauty of our historical heritage.
The AHP’s Tarlac Tour was made possible by the Provincial Government of Tarlac with support from the Capas Local Government Unit headed by Mayor Roseller “Boots” Rodriguez.
