Josefina Pineda Dizon was born on March 19,1932 from a poor family of the late Anacleto Pineda Dizon & Emerenciana Salalila Dizon.
Her parents were farmers tilling their farmland at the back of their house and the family to evacuate from Angeles City to Sto. Rosario Capas, Tarlac
during the Japanese Regime. She is the sixth (6th) child in the brood of nine (9) of Anacleto and Emerenciana Dizon.
Inspite of their poor life, she was able to finish her elementary education at Capas East Central School and her secondary education at San Nicholas Academy now
Dominican College of Tarlac. She wasn’t able to pursue her ambition of being an accountant since the nearest school was not offering the course.
She is a simple lady who wears ankle length dresses. She got married in 1958 to a businessman LIM CHO who became a Filipino citizen legally. Their business is a grocery store and
a palay buying station situated at the Poblacion of Capas. Spouses were blessed with four children namely Mercy, Lenny, Judy and Susan populary called by their mother as MELEJUSU.
But the least expected LIM CHO or JING died in 1969 due to a heart attack. He left no investment for the family but life has to go on thus Iman Aping went back to her parent’s house so she
could sustain the needs of her children. They were welcomed warmly because Imang Aping has been kind and generous to them during the times they were well-off.
Imang Aping did not make herself idle, instead she finds work for the daily subsistence of her family. She worked as a bookkeeper, house helper and even went farming so she could provide
the needs of her children at home and in school.
All her daughters finish their college education. Of the four, three finished BS in Commerce, Major in Accountancy while the other one is a Civil Engineering graduate.
Now, all her children are blessed with their own families. She has 10 grandchildren and 4 apo sa tuhod.
With so much hardship to endure as a solo parent she now finally reaps the fruits of her hard work.
Everything and anything she will do for her family.. that’s IMANG APING!
